The Gigaset A585’s answering machine can record up to 25 minutes of messages. Moreover, missed calls are shown on the display. If the CLIP function is enabled, users can call up a list containing the names, numbers and time stamps for the last 25 callers, who can then be dialed directly. The integrated phone book holds 150 names and numbers. If callers are already stored in the phone book, the display shows their name when they call. If users do not have the time for a lengthy chat with family and friends, they can also send SMS text messages with up to 160 characters. The Gigaset A580 and A585 cut power consumption by up to 60 percent compared with conventional Gigaset phones. The new entry-class Gigaset models put functional convenience in a stylish package. Thanks to the long talk times of up to 25 hours and a standby time of up to 210 hours, there is virtually no limit to how long you can talk to family and friends. Thanks to their integrated handsfree feature, the two new Siemens models offer greater mobility and flexibility for callers. The handsets have that “special something,” with a gleaming black front that imparts an elegant look.

Thanks to leading-edge ECO DECT technology, the Gigaset A580 and A585 cut power consumption by up to 60 percent compared with conventional Gigaset phones.
